A Family Brownstone
An art teacher's brownstone — bones rebuilt, palette borrowed from the work on its walls.
The bones came first: moldings stabilized, plaster returned to true, the herringbone brought back to a softer light.

Walls patched, sealed, and painted in tones taken from the family's own collection.

A parlor that holds books, art, and a table long enough for friends.
